Attorneys promote gay relationship doc at Sundance

Lawyers Ted Olson and David Boies as soon as argued the Bush v. Gore situation while watching U.S. Supreme Court, however they say fighting California’s legislation prohibiting same-sex marriage may be the most crucial thing they’ve done.

Both courtroom veterans fought on reverse sides of the situation that decided the 2000 presidential election, yet they became a member of forces to defeat California’s 2008 gay-relationship ban, Proposition 8. Their five-year work is documented in “The Situation Against 8,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

The film follows the lawyers and plaintiffs in the lawsuit that led to the relationship ban being overturned this past year.

Olson said the situation was it is important he’s done “being an attorney or as an individual.”
