Israel says it'll build new houses in West Bank

Israel on Fri announced plans to create 1,400 new houses in Jewish settlements in the West Lender and east Jerusalem, territory the Palestinians claim for his or her future state.

Though it was no real surprise, the announcement will probably anger Palestinians and may place the U.S.-directed peace attempts in peril.

Israel’s casing ministry said 800 fresh houses will be built-in the West Lender and 600 in east Jerusalem.

The statement have been expected after Israel launched 26 long-helping Palestinian prisoners in past due December, section of a deal made final summer when Israeli-Palestinian peace talks resumed. It had been the 3rd of four pledged prisoner releases.
